Singer-songwriter Crayon releases “Tete”, the first single off his upcoming EP. In addition to his previous solo singles “If I Be You” and “Fade Away”, Crayon also lived up to his status as Mavin’s Captain Hook with a splash of polychromatic features and collaborations like “Trabaye” and “Avalay”. Now he takes center stage again with his latest solo single.
Produced by Sarz, Crayon’s “Tete” is a warm, summery love song infused with elements of Dancehall, EDM, Afrobeats and RnB. This genre-fluid track sees Crayon break out of the box sonically as he explores themes of love, relationships and the fleeting nature of time.
Though the instrumental of the song evokes images of scenic vacation spots and cocktails on the beach, the lyrics are more tender and heartfelt as Crayon reflects on the importance of quality time and creating special memories with his significant other.
