On October 5th, all roads led to Muri Okunola Park as the second edition of the biggest creative gathering in Lagos-the widely anticipated Creative Bloc Carnival-kicked off in grand style. Mavin joined the party as the official culture partner and sponsor, shutting down the Music bloc with a slew of contests and fan activations.
The dynamic Creative Bloc Maze consisted of eight sections each showcasing a different creative industry, offering an intoxicating sensory experience. From the Music, Art and Fashion blocs to the Food, Games and Anime blocs, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Attractions included back to back short film screenings, fashion pop-up stands, art exhibitions and many more.
Mavin dominated the Music bloc with non-stop karaoke, limited edition merch sales, a food eating contest, a look-alike contest-and hefty cash prizes to go with them. The Film bloc was not left out either. Audience members got to enjoy an exclusive premiere of the scintillating Mavin short film, “Chapter EX”. To cap it all off, there was also an on-stage appearance from our resident heartthrob Magixx, who was warmly received by a throng of screaming fans.
