From the studios of Mavin Films and Savant comes the spellbinding short film “Chapter EX” , a romantic drama directed by renowned filmmaker and music visual director Daniel David. David has worked on a number of stand out projects, including Crayon’s “Trench to Triumph” and Ayra Starr’s “19 & Dangerous”. “Chapter EX” marks his film directorial debut. The film will be available exclusively on the Mavin Records Youtube channel from November 12th.
Produced by Ifedayo Ayilaran, the film was co-written by Afrobeats journalist Ayomide Tayo and Ishioma Egba. This stellar crew is matched by an equally stellar cast in the persons of Tomi Ojo, who played Rahila on the Netflix hit series “Far From Home”, “Skinny Girl in Transit” cast member Deji Osikoya and Amarachi Audu, a brilliant young starlet and producer.
The highly anticipated short film follows the gripping story of a love triangle gone wrong. Tomi Ojo and Deji Osikoya play the star-crossed lovers, with Amarachi Audu completing this doomed trifecta as the jilted, vengeful ex. It has a running time of 11 minutes; jam-packed with high tension moments, suspense and a jaw-dropping finale.
“Chapter EX” is a strong debut from Savant, and a sure sign that this budding production company is well on its way to becoming a household name.
