“Baby (Is It A Crime)” sees Rema switch out the dark themes and fast paced, percussion-heavy beats that have accompanied the “HEIS” era for something a bit more sweet and mellow. Produced by P.Priime, the track samples Sade Adu’s acclaimed 80s hit “Is It A Crime?”, incorporating distorted notes into a jazzy afrobeats instrumental. The result is an unmistakable masterpiece, one that has had fans clamoring for its release since the first snippet dropped.
Since his debut in 2019, Rema has charted a steady course to world domination. His highly decorated discography has spawned an ample crop of global hits, including the biggest Afrobeats song of all time- “Calm Down” ft. Selena Gomez.
