Johnny Drille is one of this generation’s torchbearers in alternative rock and folk music. He’s a poster boy for good music and fan loyalty.
He’s a singer/songwriter and producer who’s worked behind-the-boards for peers like Nonso Bassey and Cobhams. Johnny’s pursuit of perfection started on Season 3 of the hit Nigerian made-for-TV music competition, Project Fame. He was signed to Mavin Records in 2017, with the single “Wait For Me” launching this new phase.
Johnny shares a special connection with his clan of fans, arguably the most intimate you will find in Nigerian music. It comes to life through his personal calls, his hit social content series, #JohnnysMusicMondays and their support for his brand.
After a remarkable year, Johnny Drille picked up the “Best Alternative Song” nod for “Finding Efe” at the 2019 Headies. Johnny Drille’s production chops have also been recognised with multiple wins at the Beatz Awards.
He’s currently preparing for the second stop on his 3-city tour, “Johnny’s Room Live”.
